CPCC Recognizes Frances Queen, Recipient of the 2005 Hagemeyer Educational Advancement Award  

 
CHARLOTTE, NC ¡V April **, 2005 ¡V  Frances Queen, CEO and founder of Queen Associates, Inc., will be formally recognized by Central Piedmont Community College with the presentation of the Richard H. Hagemeyer Educational Advancement Award. The award will be presented to Queen at the school's graduation ceremonies May 11 in Cricket Arena.
The award is presented to current or former CPCC students. Queen enrolled at CPCC in 1984 and received an associate's degree in computer science 18 months later. She earned a B.A. degree at Queens University of Charlotte, graduating magna cum laude.
¡§I received my Bachelors of Science in Computer-Based Business from Queens University after completing an Associate¡¦s in Computer Science degree from Central Piedmont Community College.  My technical certifications and training were invaluable while working in the field as a project manager and technical consultant. As I evolved into management and eventually launched my own company, this was also the foundation that helps make our technical employees successful and helps our company to fully understand the technology and preferences of our clients. Additionally, the core business curriculum that I learned at CPCC has been a tremendous asset as I strategically plan for the future and grow Queen Associates¡¨ comments, Queen Associates¡¦ President, Frances Queen.
